DAVE ROBERTS

Dave Roberts PS is an award-winning artist living in Flintshire. He paints exclusively in soft pastel and his primary subjects are the land and seascapes of North Wales. He was elected to the Pastel Society in 2024 and is one of the UK’s leading exponents of the pastel medium.

No-one who has walked the hills and coasts of North Wales will need Dave to explain where he finds his inspiration. His work is about light and how it profoundly alters the way we perceive these places.

Dave is also the owner of Oriel Glasfryn Gallery in Caerwys, Flintshire, which is fast becoming one of Wales’ leading art and craft galleries. Alongside a programme of exhibitions, the gallery also plays host to Dave’s regular pastel painting workshops.
