JOHN WHITEHILL

My art education began at the Laird school of art,Birkenhead followed by further study in fine art at North Staffordshire Polytechnic and completed with an MA in Printmaking at Chelsea School of art.Since retiring as Head of art at High schools in Staffordshire I have spent my time painting. The subject of my work is the built or managed environment using observation, memory, recall and invention.

I often create table top still life arrangements of small buildings and landscapes constructed from card, plaster branches and model railway landscaping items. i will also use spot lamps to enhance the arrangement.
