Artist’s Statement

Kevin is a largely self taught artist working in a variety of mediums.

Through a good knowledge of materials, methods and other artists’ work he seeks to explore the sensory aspects of a subject be it portrait or landscape maintaining the figurative whilst reflecting the feeling or memory of a place or person.

Working outdoors and in his studio, with sitters, numerous sketches or photographs he strives to gather the skills and experience to allow continuous exploration of his ideas.

Kevin is an active member of Heswall Artists Association, West Kirby Arts Group and of The Liver Sketching Club. Work is exhibited for sale in Liverpool, on The Wirral and in Cheshire. More details are available on his website.
