Artist’s Statement

John Welsh BA (Hons) Fine Art.
John originally studied Art at Foundation Level at Wirral Metropolitan College, where he was inspired to pursue his passion for painting at a higher level. John graduated in 1997 from Cheltenham College (now the University of Gloucestershire) studying Fine Art and Philosophy. His work is inspired by his interest in nature, weather, landscapes and coastal areas; exploring the textural application of encaustic and paint. John has worked on collaborative exhibitions and private commissions.
