Artist’s Statement

I specialise in reduction linocut printmaking. I am specifically interested in mood, colour and pattern making. Animals and birds feature a lot in my work because they offer challenges in how to depict fur, hair, feather and wool. My start point on a new project is to ask myself what mood do I want to create.
